The main office and Logistics Center for our 100% Foreign Investment Enterprise, Diethelm Vietnam Co., Ltd. is situated in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park in Binh Duong Province bordering onto Ho Chi Minh City, only 20 minutes away from downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

The other DKSH 100% Foreign Investment Enterprise is Diethelm & Co., Ltd. (Technology) based in Hanoi with a Branch Office in Ho Chi Minh City.

Our ISO 9001:2000 Certified Logistics Center in the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park, (VSIP) currently has over 8,000 pallets space and in 2007 will be expanded to double the existing size. We run all of our operations in Vietnam on the DKSH global best practices SAP template.

Reportedly as early as 1899, a fantree trademark was being employed by the Saigon bureau of Diethelm & Co. Ltd, established in 1890.

The history of DKSH Vietnam stretches back to 1890 when it started up activities in Saigon and Haiphong but withdrew from the North in 1954 and from Saigon in 1955. During those more than 60 years the company was active in import business for Consumer and Pharmaceutical products and also represented shipping lines and insurance companies.

The company re-entered Vietnam in 1991 more than 100 years after its' initial entry. The government's 'open door' policy in the early 1990s attracted the company back and within the 90s we succeeded in obtaining an operating license as a fully foreign investment enterprise providing Sales, Marketing and Logistics services.

In the last four years in particular the business of DKSH in Vietnam has rapidly evolved with new dynamic organic growth and the integration of new businesses to service and continuous investments from the DKSH shareholders. The most recent investments have been:

The current DKSH was born from the mergers among the three Swiss companies: Diethelm & Co. Ltd., Edward Keller Ltd. and SiberHegner & Co.

Vietnam's economic development: strong growth expected

• Vietnam is an extremely dynamic business environment and with a population of 84 million of which 60% are under age of 30 years and with GDP per head being currently only 6.4% of that of USA, the potential for growth is immense.
• Vietnam was accepted into the WTO on November 7, 2006.
• Export revenues are estimated to exceed $46 billion USD in 2007 and record levels of foreign direct investment (FDI), including new licenses and applications for capital increases are expected this year.
• GDP growth in 2007 is forecasted to reach 8.5% or higher and, given the potential and capacity of the country this is a very realistic outlook.
• GDP per capita is estimated to reach 820$ USD, exceeding the cut-off for low income generating countries and, therefore, creating conditions for Vietnam to escape from the list of underdeveloped countries.
• Domestic consumption will increase higher than economic growth thanks to improved living standards and change in consumption structure, as well as an improved distribution network
